Qualified Artisans - Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

O'Brien Recruitment is recruiting qualified and experienced Artisans for temporary positions with a client in the FMCG/manufacturing industry, based in Newlands, Cape Town. The roles cover Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation artisans, with shift work and immediate availability required.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical or instrumentation faults.
• Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Assist with repairs, installations and general maintenance.
• Adhere to all health and safety standards and procedures.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Relevant Trade Test Certificate (Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation).
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Clear criminal record.
• Available to start immediately and willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.

Required skills

• Strong fault-finding, maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
