QA Specialist/Test Analyst – Employee Benefits

About the role

The QA Specialist/Test Analyst will support the delivery of employee benefits, retirement and risk solutions as JMR Software migrates legacy products, launches new platforms and digitalises claims processing. The role involves ensuring high‑quality functional testing across multiple domains and contributing to seamless digital experiences for members, employers and advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse business requirements, design detailed test scenarios, cases and scripts.
• Coordinate test reviews, obtain sign‑off from Business Analysts and stakeholders.
• Execute test cycles, document results and raise defects in Azure DevOps.
• Prepare QA reports and present findings to project stakeholders.
• Drive end‑to‑end functional testing across employee benefits, retirement and risk domains.
• Host demo sessions and conduct business user education workshops.
• Document functional processes for future reference and raise risks with mitigation recommendations.

Required profile

• Strong domain knowledge of employee benefits, risk and investment products in the South African retirement fund environment.
• Hands‑on expertise in new business onboarding, billing, premiums management, claims, accounting processes and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with policy administration systems and workflow tools.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience handling large data sets for Management Information and client‑facing reports.
• Familiarity with Operational Data Stores, cloud data sets and Power BI report testing.
