Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of ordering, receiving, storing, distributing and payment of items for the food and beverage operation. This role works closely with the Executive Chef to ensure quality, profitability and compliance with sanitation and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an approved vendor list covering all categories.
• Order food and beverage items based on business needs while controlling costs.
• Enforce first‑in/first‑out inventory rotation and maintain accurate stock levels.
• Inspect deliveries, verify invoices against shipments, and ensure quality and specifications are met.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the storeroom and ensure security of assets.
• Generate timely reports, presentations and cost analyses for management.
• Collaborate with kitchen, restaurant management and vendors to coordinate delivery timing.
• Support budgeting, cost control and financial reporting for the F&B department.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement or a related function, preferably within hospitality or food & beverage.
