Project Planner – Utility‑Scale Solar Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to lead scheduling and coordination for a landmark utility‑scale solar development in the Free State, South Africa. The role will ensure the project moves smoothly from groundbreaking to grid connection, supporting the country’s clean‑energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and obtain approval for the baseline schedule using Primavera P6.
• Create and distribute comprehensive project reports, dashboards and presentations to stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, track milestones and produce detailed status updates.
• Organise and attend coordination meetings, managing appointments and communications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and align project activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience managing large‑scale project schedules, preferably in renewable‑energy (solar/BESS) projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, Geography, Architecture or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Afrikaans.
