Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager will own end‑to‑end operational delivery of fibre rollout phases across the Western Cape, translating programme targets into daily, weekly and monthly plans. The role coordinates field supervisors, contractors and support functions while protecting quality, safety and accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain rollout plans, set daily and weekly production targets and monitor progress against schedule.
• Direct field installation supervisors, allocate daily tasks and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Manage subcontractors, enforce performance standards and handle corrective actions.
• Coordinate stock, tools, vehicles and network readiness to avoid delivery blockers.
• Maintain accurate dashboards, RAID logs and reporting for installations, activations and risks.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with a valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
• At least 5 years of experience in project delivery, field operations or fibre telecommunications, including 3 years coordinating multiple teams or contractors.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Project Management, Engineering, Telecommunications or Business Management (advantageous).
• Project management certification or formal training (advantageous).

Required skills

• Advanced Excel reporting and dashboard creation.
• Knowledge of fibre installations, ONT placement, splicing and signal testing.
• Understanding of network readiness, routing and infrastructure standards.
