Project Manager (Finance Transformation)

About the role

Our client, a global investment advisory firm, is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead finance transformation initiatives across its Cape Town Shared Service Centre. The role will be hybrid, allowing you to work both on‑site and remotely while overseeing the migration of Accounts Payable and the implementation of Oracle ERP.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery, scoping and definition phases to set clear objectives and delivery plans.
• Plan and manage end‑to‑end delivery of finance transformation projects, including the insourcing of Accounts Payable into the Cape Town SSC.
• Oversee the implementation of Oracle ERP (preferably Oracle Cloud Financials) to streamline finance operations.
• Ensure alignment with organisational goals, governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Act as primary liaison for Finance leadership, Technology teams and external vendors.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage risks, dependencies and scope changes, and provide transparent reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience within financial services or large corporate environments.
• Proven track record delivering finance transformation programmes in highly regulated settings.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and operating models.

Required skills

• Oracle ERP implementation experience, ideally Oracle Cloud Financials.
