Project Manager - EVO ERP Systems

About the role

Vodacom is seeking a Project Manager to lead the implementation of Tax, Legal and Statutory projects on the EVO ERP platform as part of its digital finance transformation. The role will work closely with the systems integrator, finance, HR, supply chain and IT teams to deliver high‑impact process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the chosen systems integrator and internal stakeholders to plan, execute and monitor project deliverables, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, and quality outcomes.
• Establish governance, change control, risk management and escalation processes for the project.
• Influence local stakeholders, manage expectations and resolve deviations from timelines or quality standards.
• Lead business transformation and technology implementation activities across finance, HR and supply‑chain domains.

Required profile

• Certified project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMI or Agile, or equivalent experience.
• Matriculation plus a 3‑year diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience, preferably within telecoms and ERP environments.
• Experience delivering complex global billing systems or data‑warehouse projects and working with multicultural teams.

Required skills

• PRINCE2, PMI and Agile project‑management methodologies.
• Implementation of ERP platforms, preferably EVO or similar.
• Deployment of telecom billing systems and data‑warehouse solutions.
• Use of AI‑enabled tools for automation and performance improvement.
