Project / Maintenance Manager

About the role

Greenro Solutions is looking for a Project / Maintenance Manager based in Simon's Town. The role covers the full lifecycle of projects and ongoing maintenance at a client site, coordinating multiple projects and ensuring the reliable operation of electrical, control and instrumentation systems. It also involves delivering site-based projects on time and within budget, and managing client relationships according to contractual obligations and service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple projects and oversee ongoing maintenance operations at a client site
• Ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of electrical, control and instrumentation systems
• Deliver site-based projects successfully while meeting deadlines, budgets and quality standards
• Manage client relationships in line with contractual obligations and SLAs
• Drive cross-functional teams to meet organisational goals

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12)
• N Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering (compulsory)
• N Diploma or degree in Project Management (advantage)
• Project management accreditation such as SACPCMP and/or PMP (advantage)
• ECSA Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist qualification (advantage)
• 7-10 years' experience in electrical engineering and project management
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role overseeing large-scale electrical programmes
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, site-based operations and maintenance, and client contracts and SLAs

Required skills

• Electrical systems design (MCCs, drives, transformers)
• PLC programming, SCADA and HMI systems
• Control and instrumentation systems
• Industrial networking (Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus)
• Preventative and predictive maintenance, commissioning and fault-finding
• Diesel generators and backup power systems
• Health and safety legislation (OHSA)
