Project Engineer – Wastewater

About the role

We are looking for a Project Engineer – Wastewater to support the technical delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK and international markets. You will work on a diverse portfolio, contributing from feasibility studies through to construction completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility, route and site selection reports and concept design documentation.
• Develop detailed design drawings, calculations and technical specifications.
• Draft contract documents for main works and investigation contracts.
• Lead tender evaluation and procurement processes.
• Compile statutory approval documentation, including planning permissions and land acquisition.
• Administer construction stage contracts and monitor progress on site.
• Create and manage project plans, budgets, schedules and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and control project costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in wastewater engineering, covering feasibility studies, detailed design and procurement.
• Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure projects from inception to delivery.
