About the role
The Project Co-ordinator will support the Project Management team in ensuring that mining projects stay on schedule and within budget. This role involves coordinating activities, monitoring progress, and assisting in the development of operational plans.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate team employee selection and manage monthly budget expenditure.
- Oversee planned maintenance priorities and allocate resources within the section.
- Set daily and weekly technical and operational targets, review leave rosters, and apply legal standards.
- Assist the Project Manager in creating annual and 1‑2 year operational project plans, including budget forecasts.
- Liaise with the Engineering Manager on spare parts planning, maintenance schedules, and project progress.
- Review project plans, re‑assign targets, and call on specialist expertise when issues arise.
Required profile
- Grade 12/NQF4 equivalent.
- Engineering Diploma.
- Project Management Certificate.
- Minimum 2 years experience in mining projects.
Required skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project).
- Experience using SAP.
- Strong project management skills.
