About the role

The University of Johannesburg is seeking a Professor for its School of Consumer Intelligence and Information Systems within the Department of Applied Information Systems. Key responsibilities

• Teach, supervise and assess undergraduate and postgraduate students, preparing study material and providing consultation.
• Supervise Honours, Masters and Doctoral research projects.
• Advance personal knowledge through research, publications and scholarly activities.
• Maintain high standards of research productivity and postgraduate supervision.
• Participate in departmental, school and college administration and management.
• Invigilate examinations and ensure compliance with university regulations.
• Engage in university committees, official meetings and community development projects.
• Collaborate with industry, other universities and research institutions locally and internationally.

Required profile

• Suitable academic qualifications and experience to perform full professorial duties in applied information systems.
• Demonstrated record of teaching, research and postgraduate supervision.
