Professional Nurse - Theatre

About the role

Mediclinic Emfuleni is seeking a Professional Nurse to work in the Theatre department. The role involves delivering safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care in line with the nursing scope of practice, ensuring patient safety and a positive experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Promote staff competence by creating a learning environment.
• Ensure accurate charging of all utilised stock and equipment.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (essential).
• Midwifery or postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty is desirable.
• No minimum experience required; 1 year post‑graduate qualification experience in a specialised unit is preferred.
