Professional Nurse - Critical Care and High Care

About the role

Mediclinic Legae in Mabopane, Pretoria is recruiting one Professional Nurse for its Critical Care and High Care unit. The position is permanent and on-site, and the main purpose is to deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of Practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all used stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (essential).
• Preferred: Midwifery or a postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty area.
• No experience required; preferred is 1 year of post-graduate experience before placement in a specialised unit.
• Applicants are considered against the Employment Equity Plan, with preference given to those who meet the minimum requirements.
