Professional Landscape Architect

About the role

Provides professional guidance within the Landscape Architecture Division, developing methodologies and overseeing design investigations for public realm interventions. The role ensures effective planning, implementation and communication of landscape projects in Durban.

Key responsibilities

• Support and guide key performance areas of the Landscape Architecture Division.
• Develop methodologies and approaches for landscape planning, design investigation and research.
• Apply landscape design policies and principles to analyse, comment and coordinate design requirements for public realm projects.
• Manage scoping, implementation, monitoring and communication phases of landscape architecture projects.
• Disseminate information on environmental impacts and produce reports on divisional interventions and outcomes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (NQF Level 9) in Landscape Architecture.
• Registered Professional Landscape Architect with the South African Council for the Landscape Architectural Profession (SACLAP).
• Valid motor vehicle driving licence.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience in Landscape Architecture.
• Computer literacy.
