Production Shift Lead

About the role

Network Contracting Solutions is looking for an experienced Production Shift Lead to manage daily manufacturing operations on a designated shift. The role combines hands‑on supervision with continuous‑improvement leadership to ensure targets are met while upholding quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all production activities during the assigned shift, ensuring output meets schedule and quality goals.
• Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials and production schedules to maximise efficiency.
• Monitor performance metrics, investigate issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM and other continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain compliance with ISO standards, company policies and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain to optimise plant performance.
• Conduct daily shift briefings, toolbox talks and performance reviews.
• Mentor, coach and develop production staff, managing attendance, discipline and engagement.

Required profile

• BTech degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 5–8 years of manufacturing experience.
• 2–3 years of experience leading production teams or supervising shifts.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, manufacturing processes and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with KPI tracking (OEE, downtime, scrap, productivity).
• Understanding of quality systems and health‑and‑safety legislation.
• Willingness to work shift patterns.
