Production Planner – Food Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a leading food manufacturing company based in Pretoria, is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their team. The role involves creating and managing daily production schedules, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment with supply‑chain strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily production schedules for all production units.
• Monitor and track production against the plan, analysing historical and current performance.
• Develop recommendations and action plans to meet departmental strategy.
• Understand and optimise supply‑chain systems and processes.
• Collate information and assumptions to issue daily plans.
• Analyse market and product trends that could impact demand.
• Plan initiatives and innovate to improve planning efficiency.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure procurement compliance.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, BCom Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of operational supply‑chain experience.
• Experience in production planning; FMCG experience is advantageous.
