Production Manager – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of outdoor cooking and lifestyle products, is seeking a hands‑on Production Manager to lead daily operations across multiple product lines. The role focuses on driving efficiency, meeting production targets, and maintaining high quality standards in a high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities for several product lines.
• Lead and develop production supervisors and shop‑floor teams.
• Ensure production targets, deadlines, and output requirements are consistently achieved.
• Identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and optimise labour, machinery, and material utilisation.
• Collaborate with procurement and stores to guarantee material availability.
• Maintain product quality, health & safety compliance, and adherence to SOPs.
• Track, analyse, and report production performance to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of production processes, workflow optimisation, and output management.
• Experience managing supervisors and large production teams.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑volume, multi‑product environment.
• Leadership, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
• Experience in metal fabrication or related manufacturing environments is advantageous.
