Production In-Service Trainee (12‑month internship)

About the role

Nestlé is offering a 12‑month Production Work Integrated Learning opportunity in Harrismith. The programme is designed for students who need workplace exposure to complete their qualification and will provide practical experience within Nestlé’s Production team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Production team in daily operations.
• Gain hands‑on production experience on a commercial food manufacturing line.
• Assist with workplace projects and improvement initiatives.
• Apply academic knowledge to real‑world production tasks.
• Complete required assessments and maintain a logbook of activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or National Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Production & Operations Management, Food Technology, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology).
• Currently studying towards the qualification and require workplace exposure to graduate.
• Willingness to learn and work in a production environment.
• Provide certified academic records, Grade 12 certificate and a confirmation letter from the tertiary institution stating the need for workplace exposure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills are advantageous.
