Product Support & Sales Representative

About the role

Komatsu South Africa is seeking a Product Support & Sales Representative to provide expert technical advice to internal teams and customers for Komatsu mining equipment. The role combines product support, sales activities, and coordination of service and warranty processes within a mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date safety procedures and plan safety events.
• Inspect new and used equipment, manage registration, warranties and manuals.
• Open and maintain machine history files for each customer site.
• Conduct delivery inspections and prepare for service calls, including RAMP contracts.
• Oversee equipment modifications and warranty repairs on site.
• Provide technical advice and liaise with central Komatsu service functions.
• Compile inspection data, troubleshooting reports and recommendations for parts managers.
• Monitor machine and component hours to schedule preventive maintenance.

Required profile

• Grade 12 with Maths or N3 Technical Certificate.
• Trade Certificate in Heavy Earth Moving Equipment.
• Valid Medium Voltage Certificate aligned with MQA Skills program.
• 4‑6 years of relevant experience, preferably with Komatsu products in mining.
• Supervisory experience (2 years) is an advantage.
• Machine Operator License is a plus.
