About the role

We’re looking for experienced planners to deliver, implement and manage departmental business plans that support the merchandise strategy for our KIDS and Intimates business units. Our ideal candidate is an experienced planner with a strong understanding of merchandise products in a value retail business. A self‑motivated individual who is passionate about data‑driven performance and driving results through numbers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and implement departmental business plans that support the SBU’s merchandise strategy.
• Manage departmental forecasts to achieve agreed growth and profitability.
• Prepare and deliver merchandise assortment plans aligned with the business strategy.
• Ensure sufficient inflows to maintain agreed replenishment service levels.
• Provide accurate and timely merchandise information to minimise risk and optimise opportunities.
• Execute and manage project plans to achieve agreed objectives where applicable.

Required profile

• Essential: Grade 12 certificate / Matric.
• Preferred: B.Com/B.Sc degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Science or related National Diploma.
• 3–5 years product planning experience in retail or FMCG environments.
• Replenishment and assortment planning experience.
• Prior store planning and 1–2 years store management experience.
• Exposure to logistics and supply‑chain processes.
• Experience working with planning systems.
