Procurement Coordinator

About the role

The Procurement Coordinator will manage technology procurement operations, asset tracking and contract administration for a global luxury retail organisation. Based in the Cape Town office, the role ensures financial efficiency, compliance and effective coordination with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end procurement process, from supplier quotation evaluation to raising tech purchase orders and goods receipting.
• Manage tender processes, including planning, sourcing, evaluation, award and contract administration.
• Maintain procurement budgets, contracts register and negotiate renewals and commercial terms.
• Own the IT asset lifecycle, keeping accurate hardware and software records, provisioning assets and ensuring licence compliance.
• Provide administrative support to the wider procurement team as needed.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification with a Higher Certificate in Public Sector Procurement (NQF Level 5).
• 2–3 years’ experience managing IT asset lifecycle processes (acquisition, allocation, tracking, maintenance, disposal).
• Strong financial acumen for asset record‑keeping, reconciliation and budgeting support.
• Solid understanding of IT asset management principles, procurement procedures and inventory control best practices.
