Procurement and Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Terra Agri, a leading provider of orchard and vineyard netting structures, is looking for a motivated Procurement & Logistics Coordinator to join its small, focused team in Ceres. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a key role in sourcing materials, managing inventory, and coordinating both local and international logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure materials from local and international suppliers, building strong relationships and identifying new opportunities.
• Forecast material requirements based on sales demand and project schedules, and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Plan and coordinate shipping, customs documentation, and delivery schedules for both domestic and overseas shipments.
• Track project material procurement from initiation to completion, ensuring budgets are adhered to.
• Assist with project cost tracking by monitoring material expenditure against approved budgets.
• Oversee logistics data for site machinery, including operating hours, fuel consumption, servicing schedules, maintenance records, and associated costs.
• Maintain accurate procurement, inventory, logistics, and project records using Microsoft Excel.
• Liaise with sales, finance, operations, and project management teams to align procurement activities with business needs.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain roles.
• Qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (advantageous).
• Experience in agricultural, construction, or related industries is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
• Willingness to relocate to Ceres and a valid driver’s licence.
• Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work independently while contributing to a close‑knit team.
