Procurement Administrator - Hospitality

About the role

Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is recruiting a Procurement Administrator for an established hospitality operation in Century City, Cape Town. Reporting to the Financial Manager, the role oversees inventory administration, stock controls and procurement processes, and provides accurate cost reporting across hotel, conference, restaurant and bar operations. It calls for strong analytical skills and a practical understanding of food and beverage costing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage stock receipting and follow up on outstanding purchase orders.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, supplier information, product specifications and units of measure.
• Administer MarketMan, including user access, system settings and operational user support.
• Coordinate stock takes, review counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare food and beverage cost reports, inventory valuations, stock movement reports and variance analyses.
• Monitor costs against budgets and identify ways to improve purchasing and inventory efficiency.
• Track supplier pricing and purchasing trends, and support recipe and menu costing.
• Strengthen stock controls and help reduce waste, shrinkage and stock losses.
• Work closely with Finance, Kitchen, Food & Beverage, Receiving and departmental teams.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in hospitality procurement, inventory management or cost control.
• Strong knowledge of stock control procedures, stock takes and variance investigations.
• Understanding of food and beverage costing and Cost of Goods Sold reporting.
• Experience using inventory and procurement systems; MarketMan experience is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail, planning and organisational skills, and a collaborative approach to meeting reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
• Food and beverage costing and inventory management.
