Process Engineer

About the role

PG Group, the leading float glass manufacturer in Southern Africa, is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical support to customers, resolve process‑related issues and drive continuous improvement across its glass production facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Set standards and specifications based on best practice to define the operational envelope.
• Audit processes to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Gather and analyse data, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions to maintain process stability.
• Lead process‑improvement projects aimed at safety, cost reduction and time efficiency.
• Monitor emerging technologies and implement suitable innovations to keep manufacturing state‑of‑the‑art.
• Conduct high‑level surveys to extend operating life of equipment.
• Maintain operational databases ensuring data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and legislation.

Required profile

• BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a process‑technology or manufacturing environment.
