Quality Coordinator

About the role

The Quality Coordinator will lead quality control initiatives within the warehouse, ensuring that damages are reduced and customer expectations are met. This role involves tracking quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining strong communication with the plant and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive quality control and reduction of warehouse damages by tracking issues, implementing corrective measures, and providing feedback to the plant and stakeholders.
• Identify, investigate and resolve quality‑related customer complaints to uphold brand integrity and achieve customer satisfaction.
• Prepare detailed reports for management and customers outlining complaint findings, actions taken and proposed solutions.
• Control the quarantine area through cycle counts to prevent stock write‑offs and minimise turnaround times.
• Investigate and remediate warehouse quality issues, implementing rework procedures, new product handling and training to reduce losses.
• Address maintenance issues for machinery and facilities to improve productivity and comply with OSHAct requirements.
• Communicate relevant information effectively to all stakeholders to support decision‑making.
• Manage staff performance, enforce disciplinary procedures and mentor team members to build capability.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Quality Management Diploma or equivalent.
• Product knowledge and understanding of specifications for all markets (Export, OE, ARG).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar operational quality role.
• At least 3 years experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
