Process Controller (Technical Infrastructure)

About the role

The Process Controller will work in the Technical, Infrastructure & Community Services department of Kgatelopele Municipality, ensuring that water treatment and related processes operate safely and efficiently. The role involves adjusting equipment, monitoring automated systems, and conducting quality tests to meet regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust mechanical settings for pumps, valves and related equipment to maintain desired process conditions.
• Monitor automated processes and ensure systems perform as intended.
• Conduct water quality, temperature and chemical level tests to verify compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, software bugs and communication errors.
• Perform first‑line maintenance and preventative maintenance on pumps and other machinery.
• Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with treatment process regulations.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science preferred.
• National Diploma, NTC IV or 3‑year BSc in a related field.
• Valid Code EB driver’s licence.
• Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions and handle hazardous substances.
