Private Wealth Advisor

About the role

As a Private Wealth Advisor you will deliver an exceptional experience for private‑wealth clients, focusing on strategies for wealth creation, accumulation and protection. You will apply money‑management principles to deepen client engagement, drive growth and strengthen long‑term retention within FNB’s Private Banking and Advisory team.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve revenue and profit targets by growing the portfolio base and providing independent, holistic advice.
• Identify and act on opportunities for revenue growth across banking and financial solutions.
• Provide appropriate banking, investment and fiduciary solutions to an allocated client portfolio, including offshore and philanthropy advice.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, audit and regulatory requirements.
• Build collaborative relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance delivery and innovation.
• Conduct regular client reviews and market the full range of financial services.
• Participate in personal development activities and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• NQF 7 level degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• Completed RE5 qualification; Certified Financial Planner (CFP) preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in banking, investment, financial planning or wealth management.
• Full understanding of money‑management principles and relevant sub‑category sign‑offs (e.g., long‑term insurance, pensions, deposits, collective investment schemes).
• Sound working knowledge of business‑related systems and banking‑regulatory requirements.
