Principal Specialist: Technology Governance

About the role

The Principal Specialist – Technology Governance will ensure that technology operations, processes and controls are reliable, compliant and aligned with the organisation’s strategic objectives. This 12‑month contract role bridges technology, audit, risk and compliance teams, driving framework adoption and providing independent assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between technology, audit, risk and compliance functions to ensure cohesive governance.
• Implement and maintain a robust Technology Control Environment across multi‑vendor ecosystems.
• Provide independent assurance that technology services are well‑governed and risks are proactively managed.
• Align technology investments, vendor relationships and portfolio performance with strategic goals.
• Oversee OPEX/CAPEX management, contract governance and vendor performance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.
• 9+ years of experience in technology governance, assurance, delivery, vendor or portfolio management, preferably in telecoms or financial services.
• Proven track record managing large multi‑vendor ecosystems and technology transformation portfolios.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
