About the role

The school seeks a dedicated teacher to adopt a holistic view of students, promote well‑being, and create a positive learning environment that motivates learners to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and present interesting and exciting lessons.
• Establish a nurturing teaching environment that promotes engaged learning.
• Maintain professional standards concerning punctuality, behaviour, work quality and student homework.
• Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
• Participate in personal and school‑wide professional development.
• Teach extra lessons on two afternoons per week when required.
• Assist with the co‑curricular programme.
• Produce high‑standard resources for students.
• Attend special occasions at the discretion of the Head.
• Set and mark exams and other forms of student evaluation, and write report comments.
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks assigned by the School Head or line manager.

Required profile

• University qualification and Certified Teaching Status (SACE).
• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience (advantageous).
• Previous experience with the IEB Programme.
• Confidence in the use of IT in teaching.
• Unwavering commitment to student development and a passion for the profession.
• Excellent organisational skills and a positive attitude to change.
• Continuous improvement mindset and strong classroom practice.
