Primary School Education Program Lead

About the role

SPARK Schools is seeking a dynamic Education Program Lead to drive student achievement across its primary school network. The role will shape a future‑focused, inclusive curriculum and assessment model that blends classroom teaching with online instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee an interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates project‑based learning, UN SDG themes, and 21st‑century competencies.
• Ensure alignment with the national CAPS framework and SPARK’s blended‑learning model.
• Create subject integration maps, pacing guides, and instructional content for the online LMS.
• Develop character‑based learning resources reflecting SPARK values (Service, Persistence, Achievement, Responsibility, Kindness).
• Coordinate moderation plans and teacher resources to maintain consistent instructional quality.
• Lead a cohesive assessment framework (diagnostic, formative, summative, benchmark) linked to curriculum goals.
• Curate, moderate, and monitor internal and external assessments, ensuring marking fidelity.
• Train staff to analyse student data and apply insights for continuous improvement.
• Integrate online and classroom instruction to personalise learning pathways.

Required profile

• Proven experience in curriculum design and educational leadership within primary education.
• Strong understanding of blended learning, project‑based learning, and data‑driven instruction.
• Familiarity with South Africa’s CAPS curriculum and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with teachers, administrators, and stakeholders.
