Practice Development Consultant – Financial Advisor Support

About the role

The Practice Development Consultant supports Financial Advisors across Sanlam's Succession Financial Planning (SFP) and AFP businesses. Reporting to a Regional Business Manager, the role coordinates practice development, sales enablement, and compliance assistance to drive advisor performance and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct monthly discussions and site visits with Financial Advisors to support practice development and business building.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing consultants to deliver practice management modules, sales campaigns, and regional competitions.
• Utilise BI/MIS tools to create dashboards, identify opportunities, and generate performance reports.
• Provide coaching, digital training, and compliance guidance to advisors, acting as an escalation point for complex cases.
• Support onboarding of new sales staff and drive diversified income streams through targeted campaigns.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification and a valid driver’s licence.
• 3‑5 years experience in financial services sales support or consulting, preferably in distribution.
• Strong administrative, relationship‑building, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High energy, proactive attitude, and results‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Sales tools such as Sanfin, Sanport, and Xplan.
• BI/MIS reporting and data analysis.
• Basic IT systems operations knowledge.
