POS Tester – Cards & Payments (4-5 yrs) – Randburg

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced POS Tester to join a dynamic technology environment, focusing on testing Point‑of‑Sale solutions and payment systems. The successful candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in POS testing, cards & payments, ISO 8583, EMV and automation testing, with solid knowledge of API and database testing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and document POS testing.
• Perform functional, integration and regression testing.
• Test cards & payments solutions and transaction flows.
• Validate ISO 8583 messages and payment transactions.
• Perform EMV testing and validation.
• Develop and execute automated test cases.
• Conduct API testing using Postman and REST APIs.
• Validate data using SQL and Oracle/DB2.
• Log, track and manage defects using Jira.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and other technical stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions meet defined quality and testing standards.

Required profile

• 4–5 years of relevant testing experience.
• Degree or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Strong cards & payments experience.
• Hands‑on POS testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 8583 and EMV.
• Experience with automation testing.
• Experience with Postman and REST APIs.
• Strong SQL and database testing experience.
• ISTQB certification or willingness to obtain it after onboarding.
• South African candidates preferred; non‑locals may be considered with valid visa or ID and ≤1‑month notice.
