About the role
Parvana is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to join its investment team in Cape Town. The role focuses on portfolio investment analysis, risk and performance reporting, and quantitative model validation for a global investment firm.
Key responsibilities
- Provide portfolio investment analysis and produce daily and monthly risk and performance deliverables.
- Perform quantitative analysis and validate financial models.
- Retrieve, validate, reconcile and analyse large volumes of portfolio and market data while ensuring data integrity.
- Identify process improvements, suggest technical solutions and contribute to quality management.
- Interact with clients, assist with data processing, respond to report queries and collaborate with the team to prioritize deliverables.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Finance or a related field.
- 1‑2 years of relevant experience, with an inclination to pursue CIPM, FRM or CAIA charter.
- Strong attention to detail, effective time management and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
