Pool Operator

About the role

As a Pool Operator at One&Only Cape Town, you will ensure our resort’s swimming pools deliver a pristine, safe, and enjoyable experience for guests. Working onsite in a luxury hospitality environment, you will combine technical expertise with a guest‑focused attitude.

Key responsibilities

• Test and balance water chemistry daily to meet health and safety standards.
• Clean pool surfaces, decks, and surrounding areas to maintain visual appeal.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair filtration, pump, and heating equipment.
• Diagnose faults, perform corrective repairs, and assist with equipment installations.
• Maintain accurate service logs and compliance documentation.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests regarding pool use and safety.

Required profile

• Pool Operator Certificate or equivalent training.
• 2–3 years of pool maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or resort.
• Physical stamina to lift equipment and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong communication skills for guest interaction and team coordination.
• Detail‑oriented work ethic, able to work independently or as part of a team.

Required skills

• Water chemistry management.

• Troubleshooting and repair of pool equipment.
