PMO Manager – Strategic Project Management Office Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic PMO Manager to lead and optimise our Project Management Office. The role will drive governance, portfolio oversight, planning excellence, performance reporting and capability building to ensure successful execution of programmes aligned with organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement PMO strategies, governance frameworks, risk management practices and operational controls.
• Lead programme and portfolio management by establishing PMO structures and monitoring project performance.
• Support bid and order acceptance processes and ensure informed decision‑making across the portfolio.
• Embed robust project methodologies, optimise delivery processes and influence stakeholders.
• Build and maintain a high‑performing PMO capable of delivering sustainable business value.

Required profile

• Minimum formal Project Management training; PMP/Prince2 certification preferred.
• 10‑15 years of line/operational management, customer and stakeholder management experience.
• Experience in business process design, implementation and roll‑out.
• Strong understanding of strategy implementation, governance, policies and training.
• Detailed knowledge of project lifecycle, planning tools, risk management, business management processes and quality management systems.
• Experience conducting internal project and process audits and leading diverse technical teams.
