Plant Operator

About the role
Glencore is seeking a Plant Operator to lead the safe and efficient operation of its coal production plant and out‑loading section in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga. You will be responsible for ensuring continuous production while adhering to health, safety and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment on a daily basis.
- Report any defects to relevant stakeholders promptly.
- Perform routine process maintenance and fault finding.
- Ensure compliance with health, environmental and safety rules at all times.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the plant.
Required profile
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Certificate in Introduction to Lump Ore Beneficiation (Basic Coal Preparation).
- Valid Driver’s License (Code EB / 08).
- At least 5 years of experience in a coal processing plant environment.
Required skills
- Coal processing plant operation.
- Fault finding on plant equipment.
- Process maintenance.
