Planner – Demand Planning in Fruit Industry

About the role

Fruitways is seeking a proactive Planner to join its Commercial Department in Somerset West. You will translate market requirements into short‑ and medium‑term demand plans, ensuring the right fruit is available for sales across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a rolling demand plan using inputs from sales, quality, and production teams.
• Generate and manage packing instructions to guarantee timely stock replenishment for the sales team.
• Continuously review supply alignment with changing market needs to maximise sales opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with production facilities to adjust and execute packing instructions as market conditions evolve.
• Monitor market and industry trends, providing insights to support commercial decision‑making.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Logistics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the fruit industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to work across various organisational levels.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
