Pharmacy Sales Representative – Cape Town

About the role

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a dynamic Pharmacy Sales Representative to expand its presence across independent, group and corporate pharmacies in central Cape Town. You will be the primary point of contact for pharmacists, driving product adoption and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a territory sales plan targeting all pharmacy segments.
• Conduct regular face‑to‑face visits to present and sell pharmaceutical products.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and manage product orders to ensure continuous supply.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmacists and key decision‑makers.
• Provide product updates, handle queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed contact records and a comprehensive pharmacy database.
• Prepare sales reports, market analysis and competitive insights for management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and responsible use of company credit cards.
• Deliver training sessions and product demonstrations to pharmacy staff.
• Collaborate with marketing and prescription teams on product launches and promotions.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets and manage a territory.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
