Pharmacy Manager – Retail & Clinic Operations

About the role

The Pharmacy Manager will lead the dispensary and clinic at the Rayton store, ensuring high‑quality pharmaceutical care, compliance with regulations, and achievement of sales targets. This role combines operational oversight, financial stewardship, and team leadership to create a competitive advantage for the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispensary and clinic operations, guaranteeing safe and accurate dispensing, including generic substitution.
• Manage stock levels, shrinkage, and housekeeping in line with SAPC regulations and company standards.
• Drive financial performance through expense control, budgeting, and achievement of core dispensary and clinic targets.
• Recruit, develop, schedule, and lead pharmacy staff, learners, and interns, ensuring compliance with labour policies.
• Maintain complete time‑and‑attendance records and submit employee data to HR.
• Implement customer service initiatives that enhance experience, loyalty, and club‑card participation.
• Integrate pharmacy services with the clinic and healthcare aisle to provide a full health offering.
• Uphold the Group’s vision and values, fostering cohesion between store, pharmacy, and clinic teams.

Required profile

• Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• Minimum 2 years experience after community service.
• At least 1 year of people‑management experience.
• Registered as the Responsible Pharmacist with SAPC.
• Desirable: retail pharmacy experience and familiarity with Unisolv systems.
