About the role

Mediclinic is an international private healthcare group operating across several regions. The Pharmacy Intern will support the delivery of a professional, cost-effective pharmaceutical service to in-hospital patients and the public. This position offers hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

Ensure the availability of medicines and scheduled substances for stores and the public.
Accurately dispense prescribed medications.
Maintain efficient stock holding of medicines and scheduled substances.

Required profile

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm) degree.
No prior experience required.

Required skills

Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act.
Financial management and good pharmacy practice principles.
Understanding of Medical Aid Scheme benefits, regulations and formularies.
Clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship expertise.
Proficiency with pharmacy systems (e.g., UNISOLVE, AS400).
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
Ethical product knowledge.
