People Practitioner

About the role

The People Practitioner acts as a strategic business partner, delivering the People strategy and supporting line managers within the function. The role focuses on driving bottom‑line growth and aligning HR initiatives with the organisation’s overall strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise HR policies, procedures, work instructions and processes.
• Recruit and select competent staff in line with labour law and company policies.
• Execute and coordinate performance management at plant level.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver training events according to established policies.
• Conduct regular HR user‑satisfaction surveys.
• Assist in compiling and monitoring annual personnel budgets, reporting variances.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date plant organisational structure.
• Provide timely weekly and monthly HR reporting.
• Build strong relationships and networks with all stakeholders.
• Ensure a sound industrial relations climate and manage the Employee Assistance Program.
• Participate actively in the Mini business operating system.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in HR Management or Industrial Psychology.
• Solid knowledge of relevant labour laws.
• 3‑5 years of HR experience in a unionised environment.
• Valid Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Proven competencies in recruitment, training, development and employee‑relations improvement.
• Ability to work independently, accurately and under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiation abilities.
• Leadership behaviour aligned with company values.
