People Lead – Pan‑Africa

About the role

The People Lead for PBB Pan‑Africa will act as a senior Human Capital business partner for an allocated Exco portfolio. Reporting to an Exco member, you will translate the group’s people strategy into concrete workforce, talent, culture and organisational effectiveness outcomes that drive customer‑led growth across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the allocated Exco member and leadership team to embed business strategy into integrated people plans.
• Use workforce insights and skills data to shape future capability, critical roles and resourcing priorities.
• Develop succession pipelines, leadership capability and mobility programmes for critical talent.
• Diagnose organisational design, decision‑rights and change‑readiness, recommending interventions to improve execution speed.
• Influence leaders to foster high‑performing, inclusive and accountable cultures aligned with strategic priorities.
• Coordinate People Operations, Centres of Expertise and country HC teams to deliver portfolio‑wide people initiatives.
• Provide executive advisory, using people insights to challenge and support complex business decisions.
• Identify, manage and escalate people risks, ensuring compliance with HC governance standards.

Required profile

• Senior HR professional with extensive experience in business partnering within large, complex organisations.
• Proven track record of translating strategy into workforce plans and talent initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn data into actionable insight.
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder‑management skills at executive level.
