PBX Service Controller – Glenwood, Durban

About the role

The PBX Service Controller will manage all incoming PBX service calls, schedule technicians and coordinate service requests for clients in the Glenwood area of Durban. You will act as the central point of contact, ensuring timely resolution of faults and keeping clients informed throughout the process.

Key responsibilities

• Log, prioritise and monitor all PBX service calls.
• Schedule and coordinate technicians to ensure open jobs are completed promptly.
• Communicate progress updates to clients.
• Liaise with technicians, suppliers and internal departments.
• Manage escalations and urgent faults.
• Maintain accurate job cards and service records.
• Prepare basic service reports and identify recurring issues.
• Work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in service control or coordination, preferably in a telecom environment.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Professional telephone manner and customer‑service focus.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.
