About the role
Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Clerk to support a client based in Cape Town. The role involves processing payroll accurately and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with the HR and finance teams to maintain smooth payroll operations.
Key responsibilities
- Process employee payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from staff and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports and filings as required.
- Assist with year‑end payroll activities and audits.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in finance or administration is a plus.
- Experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
