Payroll and HR Administrator

About the role

The Payroll and HR Administrator will support daily HR operations and ensure accurate payroll processing for our Gauteng office. You will act as a key point of contact for employees, handling onboarding, off‑boarding, and routine HR inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update physical and electronic employee records, ensuring data accuracy.
• Facilitate onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including paperwork, orientations, and exit interviews.
• Assist in processing monthly/weekly payroll, verifying attendance, timesheets, overtime, leave and statutory deductions.
• Capture biometric attendance data, identify irregular patterns and issue warnings as needed.
• Respond to payroll and HR policy queries, escalating complex issues to the HR manager.
• Prepare regular HR and payroll reports (attendance, new hires, resignations, payroll reconciliations).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.

Required profile

• HR degree or related qualification, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in payroll and HR administration.
• Experience with payroll systems for salaries and wages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
