Patient Facilitator – Radiology Department

About the role

The Patient Facilitator ensures that patient centricity remains the primary focus of the radiology branch. This role manages workflow, supports reception and radiology staff, and maintains smooth operations within the department.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain department assets such as computers and accessories.
• Register patients, collect payments, issue receipts and safeguard cash boxes.
• Greet, welcome, direct and announce patients professionally.
• Assist patients with completing information forms and scanning IDs/Medical Aid cards.
• Coordinate bookings when the PA is occupied, gather required details and notify the PA.
• Print daily patient information forms for ready checking upon arrival.
• Monitor the waiting area, inform patients of delays and liaise with radiographers/sonographers.
• Support PAs with telephone queries, validation tasks and NPS survey completion.

Required profile

• Matric certificate; medical receptionist or patient administrator experience is an advantage.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Strong organisational skills and a compassionate, team‑player attitude.
• Reliable, dependable and willing to work overtime when required.
• Excellent knowledge of Morton & Partners systems and protocols.
