Partnership Officer

About the role

The Partnership Officer will be instrumental in expanding ProgressSoft’s business across Africa by building and managing strategic relationships with a diverse portfolio of partners. This role demands a highly organized individual with strong relationship‑management capabilities and the ability to juggle multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create a systematic, process‑driven approach for partner outreach and relationship management.
• Develop onboarding and certification programs for partners following enablement sessions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to launch joint marketing, sales, and support initiatives.
• Align internal goals with partner relationships in Africa alongside senior management and Business Development.
• Represent ProgressSoft at industry events to promote brand awareness and forge strategic connections.
• Negotiate partnership agreements ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with company objectives.
• Produce a Partner Kit with branding guidelines, product summaries, and presentations.
• Work closely with Business Development to define partnership scopes, quotas, and exclusivity.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with existing partners and identify growth opportunities.
• Identify new partnership prospects through inbound leads, outbound outreach, and client visits across Africa.
• Analyze partnership performance, forecast results, and report insights to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in partnership management.
• Background in IT and banking sectors with knowledge of emerging technologies affecting financial services.
• Strong understanding of Africa’s payments infrastructure and industry trends.
• Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage multi‑project pipelines.
