Partner Sales Internship – Emerging Markets

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking an intern to support the Emerging Markets (ED) Partner Sales function in Johannesburg. The role focuses on developing and managing sales channels across Africa, including distributors, system builders and service agents. You will work closely with the Business Unit and marketing teams to drive growth and ensure partners are equipped to represent Alfa Laval’s products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Scout and identify new partners in target countries following the Way‑To‑Market strategy.
• Gather market intelligence and conduct in‑person meetings with customers to understand dynamics.
• Facilitate onboarding of partners and act as liaison between partners and internal business‑unit teams.
• Develop and maintain direct contacts with customers to gain insights into distributor networks.
• Identify business opportunities and develop proposals for regional growth.
• Monitor partner performance, track metrics and provide feedback for improvement.
• Support partner enablement through training sessions and assist marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Customer‑oriented, proactive team player with strong communication skills.
• Structured approach, able to handle multiple overlapping assignments.
• Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical diploma; MBA preferred.
• 1‑2 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Based in Johannesburg.
