Paraplanner (CPT) – Financial Planning Specialist

About the role

Our client, a well‑established investment institution in Cape Town, is seeking a qualified Paraplanner (CPT) to support financial advisors in delivering comprehensive financial plans. The role blends technical analysis, client interaction, and regulatory compliance to ensure high‑quality advice.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial needs analyses covering risk, pre‑retirement and post‑retirement scenarios.
• Prepare investment proposals and client review files.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate with product providers.
• Ensure documentation complies with CAR, POPI, FICA, and FAIS regulations.
• Perform quality control and oversee implementation of advice.
• Collect and analyse client financial information, market data, and product details.
• Evaluate financial products and assist advisors in implementing suitable strategies.

Required profile

• Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
• Working toward or already holding Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) status.
• Ability to step into an advisor’s role in emergencies, maintaining service continuity.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation capabilities.
