Overhead Lines Supervisor (OHL) – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

The Overhead Lines Supervisor will lead the safe and efficient installation of overhead power lines and related structures on a mining‑related project in Solwezi, Zambia. This 12‑month fixed‑term position reports to the Project Delivery Group and works on‑site, coordinating electrical contractors and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, sequence, and schedule overhead line activities.
• Allocate resources and develop detailed project schedules.
• Estimate time requirements and manage project documentation.
• Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and issues.
• Report progress to senior management and provide leadership to the project team.
• Control quality and ensure adherence to safety and engineering standards.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma or BSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent GCC qualification).
• Relevant electrical engineering certifications; professional registration is a plus.
• Minimum 6 years experience as an electrician with overhead power‑line (HV/MV/LV) work.
• Proven experience in electrical contracting and project management.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
